2021 CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards: Casey Gordon leads IT vision at St. Cloud-area colleges – Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal – Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal

Casey Gordon is chief information officer at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University. In this role, she has embraced the opportunity to create and lead a vision for IT with stakeholders across the institutions. She has a doctorate in educational leadership and higher education from University of Nebraska Lincoln, a Master of Education from University of Minnesota Duluth, and a Bachelor of Arts from University of Minnesota Morris. She participates in a variety of organizations such as Educause and has served on several advisory boards.
Describe the greatest accomplishment in your current role, and explain why it is significant: I believe my greatest accomplishment is the development of my staff to be leaders at our institutions. Not just leaders of technology, but true business leaders. I strive to set an example for them of the powerful impact we can have when technology and business strategy are married together with successful relationship building. This is significant because their leadership will carry us into the future.
