ST. JOHN’S, N.L. — Regional health authorities across Newfoundland and Labrador are currently unable to send nor receive emails, leading to the cancellation of many health-related appointments on Nov. 1.
In an Oct. 31 release, the Department of Health and Community Services said an ongoing IT system outage affecting the Regional Health Authority email will cancel some appointments at all facilities across all four health regions.
Health Minister Dr. John Haggie and Eastern Health president and CEO and David Diamond will be available to the media to provide an update Monday, Nov. 1 at 11 a.m.
The availability will be live-streamed on the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s FacebookTwitter and YouTube accounts.
