Man tosses phone onto Pearle Vision roof: Rocky River Police Blotter – cleveland.com

ROCKY RIVER, Ohio
Altercation: Center Ridge Road
At 11:10 a.m. Nov. 4, Pearle Vision Center employees reported that a man had called them to report an altercation several days earlier. He said that during the squabble, the other person threw the man’s phone onto the building’s roof.
A phone matching the description provided by the man was found on the roof.
Theft: Center Ridge Road
At 3 p.m. Nov. 4, a woman reported that her wallet had been stolen earlier in the day from Giant Eagle. The woman said she was shopping near the bakery section when the theft occurred. Detectives are investigating.
Attempted theft: Bristol Road
At 8:50 p.m. Nov. 5, a resident reported that when she returned to her home, she discovered that the back door had been kicked in. Several items were missing from the home, including cash and jewelry.
Officers canvassing the area discovered that a second home on the street had also been broken into. Detectives are investigating.
Drunken driving: Hilliard Boulevard
At 4:35 a.m. Nov. 6, an officer saw a car sit through several cycles of the traffic light near the interstate ramp. When the driver started going, he went straight from the left-turn-only lane and ended up westbound in the eastbound lanes on Westway.
He was stopped and, after several indicators of alcohol impairment and poor performance on field sobriety tests, was arrested.
Theft: Hilliard Boulevard
At 7:55 a.m. Nov. 8, a River Automotive employee reported a broken window when he arrived at work. It was determined that several sets of car keys were missing and that a 2016 Ford F150 pickup truck had been stolen from the parking lot. Detectives are investigating.
