Acclaim Technical Services acquires Entegra Systems – Washington Business Journal – Washington Business Journal

Acclaim Technical Services Inc. has gone back to the mergers and acquisitions market for the third time in three years, purchasing Hanover, Maryland’s Entegra Systems LLC in a deal announced Thursday.
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but the purchase provides the Reston technology and intelligence services firm with expansive cybersecurity offerings and a portfolio in the national security arena.
ATS, which is backed by McLean venture capital firm Blue Delta Capital Partners, provides a range of services to the intelligence community, including linguistics and translations offerings, intelligence collection and processing, as well as systems engineering, software development and other technology services.
With the Entegra acquisition, ATS adds further intelligence collection and analysis, particularly in signals intelligence (SIGINT), but also in areas like mobile device management and in its proprietary natural language understanding system, which helps analyze a wealth of text data to discern the intent of certain messages and better help inform intelligence.
The acquisition also builds ATS up to more than 500 employees working in the national security space. The company has been steadily building its technology portfolio with acquisitive moves, buying systems engineering firm Axis of Engineering in 2019 and Rockville software development company Global Consulting Services Inc. in September 2020.
KippsDeSanto & Co. served as adviser for Entegra, with Miles & Stockbridge as legal counsel. Holland & Knight served as counsel for ATS.
